Job Profile

Responsible for procuring aluminum and magnesium raw materials to ensure supply to recycling sites
Establishing, maintaining, and developing sustainable supplier relationships
Managing supplier relations with a focus on supplier qualification, ensuring delivery reliability, and complaint management
Negotiating and concluding metal supply contracts, including price and contract negotiations
Analysis of global procurement markets and development and implementation of innovative procurement strategies
Commercial and administrative processing of all requirements in compliance with legal requirements, internal guidelines, and processes
Responsibility for accelerating procurement processes and open orders, as well as for optimizing metal costs
Identification and evaluation of business opportunities and risks

Candidate Profile

Completed degree in economics or engineering, or alternatively completed technical training or comparable knowledge and skills.
Alternatively, good technical or business management fundamentals.
Several years of professional experience in the manufacturing industry, ideally in the purchasing of non-ferrous metals or in the field of scrap recycling.
In-depth understanding of the scrap market, recycling processes, supplier selection, and risk assessment
Confidence in using results-oriented supplier management methods
Good understanding of materials management processes
Knowledge of contract law relevant to purchasing
Proficiency in MS Office and, ideally, SAP
Fluent German and English
