Job Profile

  • Quality control of castings according to casting design specifications
  • Construction and repair welding work on castings
  • Preparation and execution of the required heat treatments for the castings
  • Supporting the head of the fettling shop department
  • Coordination of fettling shop planning and processes with the adjacent areas (molding shop, melting shop, QA, shipping and mechanical processing)
  • Timing and technical monitoring of production and delivery deadlines
  • Recording system data (maintenance planning, fault and maintenance reports)
  • Creating inquiries and obtaining quotations as well as recording orders
  • Motivation, coaching and development of employees (m/f/d) according to the principles of effective leadership

Candidate Profile

  • Completed vocational training in a metalworking profession with ideally subsequent further training as a technician / master craftsman
  • Further training as a welding specialist or welding technician
  • Sound knowledge of welding technology and metal processing
  • Initial professional experience in the post-processing of cast steel parts desirable
  • Confident handling of the most common welding processes, ideally manual electrode and MAG processes
  • Confident handling of ERP systems and all common MS Office programs, especially Excel
  • Process-oriented leadership personality with communication skills and authenticity
  • Fluent written and spoken German
