Job Profile
- Leading and supporting team leaders in achieving departmental goals
- Responsibility for meeting production quality targets and deadlines
- Managing production projects and taking on related tasks
- Accountability for the entire raw part production process from metallurgy to the finished casting
- Further development and alignment of production technology with company strategy
- Organizing stand-in coverage for team leaders during absences
- Providing support and technical advice to engineering on foundry-specific topics
- Sales support during customer visits to the plant
- Weekly reporting of activities directly to the CEO and plant management
- Willingness to take on special projects as needed
Candidate Profile
- Completed engineering degree in metallurgy, materials science, or foundry technology, or equivalent qualifications and skills
- Alternatively, completed vocational training as a foundry mechanic (m/f/d) with further qualification as a master craftsman or technician (m/f/d)
- Basic business administration knowledge is desirable
- Several years of professional experience in a production role within the foundry sector
- Experience in managing and leading teams is an advantage
- Knowledge in metallurgy and materials, especially in iron and/or steel casting, is desirable
- Familiarity with modern manufacturing processes, production technologies, leadership methods, and total cost optimization
- Knowledge of current safety and accident prevention regulations
- Solid experience with ERP systems and MS Office applications
- Fluent in English; French skills are a plus
