Job Profile

  • Independent management of the production operation in terms of technical, personnel and organizational aspects in the hand moulding and core making areas
  • Shaping the strategic and operational direction of the foundry
  • Optimization of the foundry’s production in terms of quality, deadlines and costs
  • Further development and implementation of new molding and production technologies
  • Responsibility for compliance with legal regulations such as emission and noise limits, licensing requirements, worker safety, operator obligations, etc.
  • Monitoring smooth production in terms of quality, productivity and efficiency with the help of foundry-relevant key figures
  • Responsible for cross-departmental cooperation and coordination to ensure compliance with production targets and operational requirements
  • Motivation, management and development of employees (m/f/d) according to the principles of effective leadership

Candidate Profile

  • Completed engineering studies in the field of foundry technology, metallurgy or materials technology or comparable knowledge and skills Comparable knowledge and skills
  • Alternatively completed training in the foundry field with corresponding further training as a master craftsman or technician (m/f/d)
  • Sound business management knowledge is an advantage
  • Comprehensive technical understanding with problem-solving skills and high resilience
  • Prominent professional experience in a comparable, responsible position in an iron foundry in hand mold casting
  • Excellent know-how in cast iron metallurgy as well as mold filling and solidification simulation
  • Solid knowledge of modern manufacturing principles (CIP, Lean Production) and quality management (Six Sigma, Green Belt)
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Experience in managing large groups of employees
  • Fluent in German and English
