Job Profile
- Worldwide support of production sites in the design and optimization of casting processes and production workflows
- Active support of production during product ramp-ups and implementation of optimization measures
- Planning, execution, and evaluation of casting trials to optimize and further develop the casting process
- Competent support in decision-making processes in process-relevant areas, e.g. infrastructure, maintenance, investments, etc.
- Participation in global/local process development through expert support
- Regular exchange of process-relevant information and reports within the group as a member of the casting and competence team
- Project management or project membership for topics of process development or innovation
- Knowledge transfer through conducting technical staff training and workshops
Candidate Profile
- Completed engineering degree in foundry technology, process engineering, or mechanical engineering or equivalent knowledge and skills
- Relevant professional experience in process engineering in aluminum casting (die casting, low-pressure casting, or gravity permanent mold casting)
- In-depth knowledge of foundry technology, metallurgy, materials science, and simulation software
- Know-how in tool design and tool cooling
- Experience with thermal simulations, preferably casting simulations using MAGMA software
- Experience in the design and optimization of complex systems and manufacturing processes
- Expertise in Lean Production, Continuous Improvement, Shopfloor and Change Management
- Familiarity with automotive supplier industry regulations
- Intercultural competence with practical experience in internationally operating corporate groups
- Fluent German and English skills; additional languages are an advantage
